The IHC Tennis Academy (IHCTA) is the best of both worlds— a week long tennis academy mixed in with an uncomparable summer camp experience. The IHC Tennis Academy is an unique opportunity, designed to help your child learn and improve their tennis whilst also helping them develop independence through an amazing sleepaway summer camp experience in Pennsylvania.

It doesn't matter what level you're child is at, our USTA & ITF qualified coaches will be there to develop them as tennis players on the court. Off the court we have a team of camp counselors ready to give them a summer of FUN. They will make new friends, try new things, and grow in so many different ways.

They are going to have the opportunity to waterski, zipline, eat s'mores by the campfire, play tennis as much as they want. We call it Childhood Unlimited and it happens at the IHC tennis academy.

Off-Court Conditioning

At IHCTA, we take pride in providing the tools to prepare our campers not only for tennis competition, but to deal with life situations through instilling the importance of work ethics, discipline, consistency, goal setting, respect, team work, responsibilities, accountability, and compassion.

Dead Ball Drills

Tennis balls fed by coaches to isolate and work on specific areas of the game.

Stroke Production

Drills based on repetition to improve technique on specific strokes.

Live Ball Drills

Cooperative hitting drills where players rally with each other and coaches while working on consistency and game patterns.

Match Play

Strategy, game patterns, and decision making while playing singles and doubles matches, always supervised by our expert staff.

On-Court Conditioning

Different exercises focusing on strength, speed, agility, flexibility, reaction-time, and endurance.

Mental Conditioning

We work on match situations on how to approach problems, organize thoughts, make good decisions, handle pressure, and overcome adversity.

Off-Court Conditioning

With our state of the art facility our campers will be prime for the conditioning they’ll need to win on the court.

Nutritional Guidance

To perform efficiently on the court it’s important to teach our campers how to fuel their bodies to achieve maximum performance.

Some of the countless benefits of yoga are increases in flexibility, balance, strength and a clear mind on the court.

Academy & Performance Levels

At IHCTA we believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful game of tennis. That’s why our program welcomes a wide range of playing levels and experiences. Camper tennis skills and athletic assessment are performed on arrival for all players, followed by a detailed progress report upon departure.

From the tennis enthusiast who is only starting to learn the sport to the intermediate player who wants to become a more competitive player.

The Academy is divided into 2 tennis sessions a day.

For the high performance competition player who is looking to compete at a higher level.

The performance is divided into 4 tennis sessions a day.

Private Lessons

Whether your camper is an Academy or a Performance player, we also offer private lessons upon request. These lessons are a key component of tennis development and with a good combination of both group and private sessions, campers will be on their way to achieving success and taking their game to the next level.
