Campers and staff sit family style where they enjoy nutritious and delicious meals with plenty of options for our more particular palettes. In fact, no one at IHC will ever go hungry, no matter the taste, sensitivity, or dietary restriction.
Lunch is served buffet style offering more food selection and choice of dining indoors or al fresco. Counselors model good eating habits and choices in hopes that our campers will reach out for more greens and veggies. Fresh fruit and an extensive salad bar are offered at each meal, as well as daily alternative options for those who need it.
In 2018, we revamped our dining area and kitchen to set the industry standard when it comes to food safety and hygiene. We built a completely separate kitchen area to handle all dietry requirements. We are one the only camps in the country to have a gluten and nut free certified kitchen.
On top this we employ two special chefs who handle any and every dietary restriction (celiac disease), allergy (gluten or dairy), or food sensitivity. Just let us know what your child’s restrictions are and we’ll find a way to make sure they’re always full, and always happy. Additionally, Camp IHC has been a nut free facility for the better part of two decades.
